6:Steel making & Forging processing

1): Steel making process:

  EF+LF+VD

  EAF+LF+VD

2): Forging processing:

Hot forging temperature: 900-1150℃

Cooling in the furnace or in the air

7: Heat treatment

Solution Annealing

1) Heat 630 steel to 1020-1060℃ in the furnace

Quick cool in the air/water

2) Precipitation hardening to 480℃

After solution treatment, heat to 470-490℃ in the furnace

Cooling in the air

3) Precipitation hardening to 550℃

After solution treatment, heat to 540-560℃ in the furnace

Cooling in the air

4) Precipitation hardening to 580℃

After solution treatment, heat to 570-590℃ in the furnace

Cooling in the air

5) Precipitation hardening to 620℃

After solution treatment, heat to 610-630℃ in the furnace

Cooling in the air

8:Application

630 stainless steel is a martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel, both high strength, good corrosion resistance and excellent machinability. Its main application areas are as follows:

1. Aerospace

1) Aircraft components: landing gear parts, engine fasteners, turbine blades.

2) Aerospace equipment: rocket engine shells, satellite structure.

2. Oil and energy industry

1) Oil/gas equipment: valves, pump shafts, downhole tools.

2) Nuclear power components: reactor internal fasteners, control rod drive mechanism.

3. Chemical and Marine Engineering

1) Chemical equipment: acid-resistant pumps, agitator shafts.

2) Marine environment: ship shaft system, desalination equipment.

4. Machinery Manufacturing and Tools

1) Highly stressed parts: gears, bearings, mold inserts.
