1.2210 is a widely recognized cold work tool steel that belongs to the German standard DIN 17350. It is known for its high wear resistance, good toughness, and excellent dimensional stability during heat treatment. Due to its reliable performance and broad applications, many countries have equivalent steel grades to DIN 1.2210, such as L2 from the American standard ASTM A681, 115CrV3 from International standard ISO 4957, and SKS43 from the Japanese standard JIS G4404.
1.2210 steel contains chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, which contribute to its hardness and toughness. The nickel content enhances its impact resistance, while the molybdenum improves hardenability and wear resistance.
